grABloop privacy notice#
Version 1 · in force from ⟨date of the first release⟩
In short: grABloop collects nothing about you and sends nothing to CODEBORN. What you put in it stays on your devices and in the sync storage you choose.
Who is responsible#
CODEBORN EOOD ("CODEBORN"), 145 G. S. Rakovski St., apt. 6, Sredets district, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria, VAT number BG204340963. Questions about privacy: info@grabloop.change.
What grABloop collects#
Nothing. grABloop has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no crash reports of its own. CODEBORN does not receive your recordings, your library, your settings, or any information about you or about how you use grABloop.
What stays on your device#
- Your library: copies of the recordings and videos you import, with their loops, bookmarks, notes, lyrics, tags, setlists and settings.
- What only this device needs: its keys, its language, the undo history, the search index, recently deleted songs and the sync log.
- Passwords and the passphrase for sync, in your system's keychain (the Keychain on Apple devices, the Keystore on Android, the Credential Manager on Windows, the Secret Service on Linux), never in the library.
When grABloop uses the network#
Only to sync, and only with the storage you set up: your own SFTP or WebDAV server, or a folder. grABloop sends your library there and the name of each device (for example "Maria's iPad"), so your devices know each other. If you encrypt the storage, everything in it is encrypted on your device before it leaves. CODEBORN never sees this storage.
grABloop also checks whether the network is metered (on Android), so it can wait for Wi-Fi; that check stays on your device.
What you share yourself#
A bundle (.grabloop), a backup, an exported sync log or a printed key list goes only where you send it.
Others#
The store you got grABloop from, and your device's system, may collect information under their own privacy policies, for example crash reports you agreed to share with Apple, Google or Microsoft. CODEBORN does not receive personal information from them.
Keeping and deleting#
CODEBORN keeps nothing, so there is nothing to delete on our side. You delete your data by deleting songs in grABloop, by emptying its library folder, or by deleting grABloop (on phones and tablets this also deletes its library), and by deleting your backups and your sync storage.
Children#
grABloop collects no information from anyone, children included.
Changes#
This notice is always in Settings ▸ About grABloop ▸ Privacy notice and at grabloop.change/privacy. If it changes, the new version has a new number and date, and grABloop shows it when it starts.
Your rights and questions#
You have the rights the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you. As CODEBORN holds no personal information about you from grABloop, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete; write to info@grabloop.change with any question. You may also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (www.cpdp.bg), or to the authority of the country where you live (in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, www.dpa.gr).
